Ao tentar remover a instalação do CRS do Oracle 10gR2 com RHL 5.2 x86_64 passei pelo erro:

Ao rodar o root.sh

Checking to see if Oracle CRS stack is already configured
Oracle CRS stack is already configured and will be running under init(1M)

A solução achada em um fórum que passava as seguinte instruções para solução:

1.) Remove /etc/oracle directory on all nodes

2.) Remove /etc/init.d/init.cs* /etc/init.d/init.ev* /etc/init.cr* files

3.) Remove vote and ocr files (may or may not be necessary)

4.) Re-run root.sh (as root of course) on all nodes

5.) Rerun the scripts that failed

No meu caso os itens 1, 2 e 3 foram o suficiente.
